Lisa L. of Green Valley Lake, California, had noticed that the floors in her home were sagging and the walls had begun to bow. The first step she took was locating a foundation company with a great reputation, to fix her issue. After doing her research she set up an appointment, with Saber, for an estimate. The findings were, sagging beams and floor joists caused by weakening of members over time.
Saber scheduled a crew to compete the work for Lisa. The crew installed galvanized adjustable steel Smart Jacks, by digging a 24x24" foundation pit, created an engineered fill, and installed a precast foundation base, and attached and adjusted the Smart Jack. The crew also needed to install new 4x6 wood grider beams for additional reinforcement to existing floor supports. This was accomplished by removing the sub floor to expose the existing beams. The home was lifted to maximum practical recovery, and the sub floor was replaced. The site was then cleaned and the project was complete.
Homeowners in Loma Linda, California, had noticed a large crack in the slab of their foundation. After doing some research about the methods to fix the damage caused by the soil settlement below the slab, they knew that they wanted to use a company that would inject foam under the slab. The other options were thought to be too time consuming and expensive. The homeowner knew they wanted something that was light weight with a quick finish time and something that would not break the budget. The homeowners enlisted the help of Saber to repair the crack in the slab and to lift and stabilize the foundation of the home. The crew from Saber arrived promptly at the scheduled date and time and the work was completed much to the homeowners satisfaction. The crew injected PolyLEVEL™ beneath the foundation to stabilize the home and to perform a lift, once the lift was complete and the PolyLEVEL™ was cured, the crew then repaired the crack that had formed in the foundation using an epoxy injection. The homeowners were very pleased with the work competed by Saber and are happy to know that their home is now stabilized and the signs of settlement are no longer an issue.
Homeowners in Chino Hills, California, had started to notice a lot of cracking in the interior and exterior of their home. They also noticed separation that had formed in the slab of their patio deck. These are all signs of soil settlement. This type of settlement is due to the expansive soils beneath the homes foundation. The homeowners knew they needed to find a fix for this issue before it became much more serious, however; they knew that they wanted to find a fix that would be best for them and not too disruptive to their lives. The homeowners did some research and found Saber, they set an appointment for a Saber design specialist to come to the property for a free property evaluation. The design specialist proposed that the home be stabilized and lifted to maximum practical recovery using PolyLEVEL™. The Crew arrived and went to work using the proposed design to map out the locations in which the PolyLEVEL™ would be injected for the best results. PolyLEVEL™ was injected beneath the foundation to fill any voids and to lift and stabilize the home. Once the PolyLEVEL™ set up the home is now stabilized and lifted to maximum practical recovery, The homeowners no longer see the signs of settlement that once plaqued their home. The cracks that had formed are now closed and any doors and windows that were hard to open and close are no longer an issue. The homeowners are happy to know that the home is also has lateral support.
A homeowner in Desert Hot Springs, had noticed several areas around the property that the walkways had become uneven and cause concern to the homeowner due to the fact that the uneven walkways could result in a trip hazard, which could be a hassle for the homeowner in the long run. The settlement of the slabs and walkways was mostly due to the soils located beneath the foundation, which had settled and caused voids to form in which the slabs began to sink and the walkways became compromised. The homeowner knew it was time to find a fix for the issue, before the damage became worse. The homeowner called Saber and set an appointment for a Design Specialist to come out and evaluate the property. The Design Specialist proposed that the slabs and walkways be lifted and raised using PolyLEVEL™. The homeowner was pleased with the proposal and was ready to get started on the project. The crew from Saber was scheduled to come out and repair the foundation. The crew began by coring penny sized holes in the slabs in the areas that would be lifted and stabilized. The PolyLEVEL™ was then injected into the holes and the slab began to rise and level. The whole process was rather quick and the cure time was just minutes, much less then the time it would have taken had the homeowner chosen to replace the sinking slabs.
Homeowners in Yucaipa, had noticed separation and cracks that had formed in the slab of their pool deck. The design specialist proposed that the pool slabs be stabilized and lifted to maximum practical recovery using PolyLEVEL™. The Crew arrived and went to work using the proposed design to map out the locations in which the PolyLEVEL™ would be injected for the best results. PolyLEVEL™ was injected beneath the slabs to fill any voids and to lift and stabilize the the pool deck. Once the PolyLEVEL™ set up the slabs are now stabilized and lifted to maximum practical recovery, The homeowners no longer see the signs of settlement that once plaqued their pool deck and caused tripping hazards. The cracks that had formed are now closed and the uneven concrete was once again level.
A home in Upland, California was suffering from serious foundation settlement. Large cracks in had formed in the slab and walls of the home and areas of the floors were sagging and walls were bowing. The homeowner was concerned with what was going on with the home, so they began to research options on how to repair or replace the foundation. They found that replacing the foundation all together would not only be extremely expensive, but also very time consuming, and could possibly only cover the problem, since the real issue is with the soils beneath the foundation. The homeowner knew that wanted something for a permanent fix, but something that would not break the bank. The homeowners researched several options and found that Saber with their many years in business and positive reviews would be the best option. A design specialist from Saber came to the property and competed an evaluation. The homeowner liked the proposal and set an appointment for the crew to come out and get the work started. The crew came out to the home and prepped 5 areas where helical piers would be located, 13 areas for push piers and 4 SmartJacks to be added, in order to repair the foundation of the home. The holes were excavated and the piers were installed. Once that was complete the holes were backfilled. The crew also added SmartJacks to an area of the home that was on a crawlspace to protect the home from any future settlement.

A homeowner in Chino became concerned after noticing cracks developing throughout the walls of the home — a common sign of foundation settlement and structural movement caused by unstable soil conditions beneath the property. Seeking a permanent repair solution, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection and structural evaluation.
During the inspection, Saber’s foundation repair specialists identified underlying soil voids beneath both the home’s foundation and the exterior patio areas. As these unsupported gaps developed beneath the structure, sections of the foundation and concrete slabs began settling unevenly, creating wall cracking and unsafe trip hazards along the patio surface.
To permanently stabilize the structure, the crew excavated targeted areas around the portions of the home where settlement had occurred. Heavy-duty steel push piers were then attached directly to the foundation and hydraulically advanced deep into stable load-bearing soil beneath the weak upper soil layers responsible for the settlement.
Once the push piers reached proper depth and capacity, the system was carefully pressurized to help lift and strengthen the settling foundation. This process helped restore support beneath the home while reducing the risk of continued structural movement and foundation damage.
After the lifting operations were completed, polyurethane foam injection was used to fill the underlying soil voids beneath both the foundation and patio surfaces. The expanding polyurethane helped stabilize the supporting soils while improving slab support and eliminating the trip hazard caused by the uneven patio concrete.
By combining push pier foundation stabilization with polyurethane void filling technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully restored stability to this Chino home while helping protect the property from future settlement-related damage and unsafe concrete conditions.
A homeowner in Chino Hills became concerned after noticing doors and windows throughout the home becoming difficult to open and close. At the same time, cracks began appearing along the interior walls — common warning signs of foundation settlement and structural movement caused by unstable soil conditions beneath the property.
To properly identify the source of the problem, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a comprehensive foundation inspection and permanent repair solution. During the evaluation, Saber’s foundation repair specialists discovered that underlying soil voids had formed beneath portions of the foundation, allowing sections of the structure to sink and crack over time.
As the unsupported areas beneath the home continued shifting, the foundation began settling unevenly, creating structural stress throughout the property. Without permanent stabilization, the settlement and cracking would likely continue worsening.
To permanently stabilize the structure, the crew installed heavy-duty steel push piers beneath the affected foundation areas. The push piers were hydraulically advanced deep into stable load-bearing soil beneath the weak upper soil layers responsible for the settlement.
Once the push piers reached proper depth and capacity, the system was carefully pressurized to help lift the settling foundation back toward a more consistent elevation. This process helped restore structural support beneath the home while reducing the risk of continued settlement movement.
After the lifting operations were completed, PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection technology was used to fill the underlying soil voids beneath the foundation. The expanding polyurethane foam helped restore support beneath the slab while stabilizing the surrounding soils to improve long-term performance.
By combining push pier foundation stabilization with PolyLevel® void filling technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully restored structural stability to this Chino Hills home while helping protect the property from future settlement and foundation-related damage common throughout Southern California.

When Julie learned about the issues of her crawl space she decided to go ahead with the project. Edgar and his crew took on this project, they replaced several of the floor joists and replaced all the posts with caps for proper support. After Edgar and his team were finished Julie was extremely happy and left us a review on google, she wrote, “I was concerned that the foundation or lack of one was a safety concern. I contacted Saber to see about repair/reinforcing current beams and posts. They were able to reassure me that they could make my home safe considering the lack of a foundation. The crew took four days to complete the job and I couldn’t be happier. Foreman Edgar and his crew were very professional, friendly, and always were willing to answer any questions that arose. I recommend this company for any foundation issues.”
Ian W. reached out to Saber due to concerns about a sloping floor, cracking, and creaking in his duplex property. Worried that these issues might lead to a potential cave-in, Ian relied on this property for additional income. The duplex, constructed in 1927, showed signs of foundational problems, which became evident to Ian within his two years of owing the property. He understood that the foundation's condition was unlikely to improve on its own.
Our design specialist, John, checked everything and found cracks and sinking in the crawl space. To make things better, he suggested a special way to seal and strengthen the crawl space. This would help lift the sagging floors and make the house stronger.
Our skilled crew replaced old posts with better ones and fixed them properly to the beams. Now, Ian feels better knowing his home is safer, and his property is protected for the future.
Foundation Settlement Threatened the Stability of a Family Home
A homeowner in Bloomington began noticing concerning signs of foundation settlement while preparing to purchase a family home originally built in 2000. Structural movement around the property had become increasingly noticeable, particularly near the garage and exterior concrete surfaces.
The garage showed signs of shifting, while sections of the driveway concrete slabs had started sinking and settling unevenly. These issues raised concerns about the long-term structural integrity of the home as well as the potential for worsening damage over time.
Wanting to protect the property and ensure the home would remain safe and structurally sound for years to come, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a free foundation inspection and professional evaluation.
Foundation Inspection Identified Structural Settlement Concerns
During the inspection, the foundation repair specialists at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair evaluated the structural movement affecting the garage and surrounding concrete areas.
The inspection confirmed that sections of the home’s foundation were experiencing settlement caused by unstable soil conditions beneath the structure. As the supporting soils shifted and weakened, portions of the foundation and surrounding concrete slabs began losing support and settling unevenly.
Because Southern California homes are frequently exposed to expansive soils and seismic activity, the homeowner wanted a permanent foundation stabilization solution that would help protect the structure against future movement and structural stress.
Push Pier Foundation Stabilization Solution
To permanently stabilize the home, the team recommended installing a push pier underpinning system beneath the affected foundation areas.
Heavy-duty steel push piers were designed to transfer the structural load of the home onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil beneath the weaker upper soil layers responsible for the settlement. The push pier system would help reinforce the foundation while reducing the risk of continued movement in the future.
Push piers are one of the most effective long-term solutions for settling foundations because they bypass unstable surface soils and anchor the structure into competent supporting strata below. This system also provides additional confidence for homeowners concerned about future soil movement and seismic activity throughout Southern California.
The Results
With a professionally engineered push pier stabilization plan in place, the homeowner gained peace of mind knowing the property could be permanently reinforced against continued settlement and structural movement.
By identifying the settlement issues early and implementing a long-term foundation repair strategy, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair helped protect the structural integrity and future value of this Bloomington home for years to come.
When Frank purchased his house in Bloomington two years ago, he encountered a persistent issue: uneven concrete slabs on his driveway. Initially, he shrugged it off, assuming it wouldn't cause much trouble. Andrea, a homeowner in Cedarpines Park, contacted us regarding her house built in 1985. She'd moved in a year back and noticed the subfloors getting spongier because of moisture. Her main concern was the increasing moisture issue in the crawlspace, as she intended to use it for extra storage in her family home. After a year of seeing the problem worsen, especially with the wet crawl space, she decided to reach out for help.
Our specialist, Curtis, thoroughly examined the home's foundation and discovered that the humidity levels were remarkably high, sitting above 71%. To tackle this, he suggested a comprehensive moisture solution, recommending a crawl space encapsulation system. This involved sealing the vents, installing a condensation pump, and adding clean space to address the moisture issue.
Andrea was immensely relieved to learn that her wet crawl space could be repaired, giving her peace of mind about the condition of her home.
Desert Soil Settlement Began Causing Serious Structural Damage
A homeowner in Twentynine Palms began noticing troubling signs of foundation settlement throughout the home as shifting desert soils gradually compromised the structural support beneath the property. What initially appeared to be small cosmetic imperfections quickly progressed into more serious warning signs of active foundation movement.
Vertical foundation cracks began forming along interior and exterior surfaces, tile floors became uneven underfoot, and doors throughout the home started sticking within their frames. These symptoms indicated that the home had exceeded acceptable foundation settlement limits and was experiencing ongoing structural movement caused by unstable supporting soils beneath the footing.
In addition to concerns about structural safety, the homeowner worried about declining property value, future repair costs, and the possibility of much larger construction repairs if the settlement continued unchecked.
A Professional Foundation Inspection Revealed Active Settlement
After researching foundation repair options and temporary repair methods online, the homeowner realized cosmetic patching solutions would not address the root cause of the problem. Searching for trusted foundation repair near me services throughout Southern California ultimately led the homeowner to Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a comprehensive structural evaluation.
During the foundation inspection, the team performed detailed elevation measurements and structural assessments to determine the severity of the settlement. The inspection confirmed active differential movement caused by loosely compacted desert soils beneath the foundation that had lost their ability to properly support the structure over time.
The team explained that without permanent stabilization, the settlement would likely continue worsening, potentially resulting in larger foundation cracks, slab damage, structural distortion, and more extensive repairs in the future.
Push Pier Foundation Stabilization Solution
To permanently stabilize the home, the foundation repair specialists at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair recommended installing a heavy-duty steel push pier underpinning system designed to transfer the structural load of the home onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil.
The repair process began with small excavations beside the affected footing areas to minimize disruption to the property. Heavy-duty steel push piers equipped with reinforced external sleeve technology were then hydraulically driven deep beneath the home until competent supporting soil conditions were reached.
Once the piers achieved the required depth and load-bearing capacity, synchronized hydraulic lifting equipment was used to carefully raise the settled portions of the structure back toward their intended elevation. The structural weight of the home was then permanently transferred onto the push pier system to stabilize the foundation against future movement.
Compared to traditional slab foundation repair methods requiring extensive demolition and reconstruction, the push pier system allowed the repairs to be completed efficiently while minimizing disturbance to the home and surrounding property.
The Results
Over the course of a single work week, the crew completed the push pier installation and restored stability to the home’s foundation system. Final elevation readings confirmed that the floors had been successfully returned to a more level position, while previously sticking doors and windows once again operated normally.
The foundation cracks stabilized, structural movement was halted, and the homeowner regained confidence in the long-term safety of the property. Backed by a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty along with Saber’s performance guarantee, the repair system provided lasting protection against future settlement issues.
Beyond the structural improvements, the repairs also restored peace of mind and improved the home’s resale appeal by documenting a professionally engineered foundation stabilization system.
By combining expert foundation inspection services with permanent push pier underpinning technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully restored structural stability to this Twentynine Palms home while protecting it from continued settlement caused by challenging Southern California desert soil conditions.
Severe Foundation Settlement Threatened the Structural Integrity of a Desert Home
A slab-on-grade home in Twentynine Palms experienced major structural settlement after a hidden plumbing leak gradually washed out supporting soils beneath the foundation. Over time, the damage became impossible to ignore as the rear portion of the home began sinking dramatically below the rest of the structure.
The back two bedrooms settled approximately six to eight inches, causing severe differential movement throughout the slab foundation. As the foundation shifted, vertical cracks developed within the structure, doors became stuck in their frames, and portions of the home visibly moved out of alignment.
The homeowners understood that the problem extended far beyond cosmetic damage. Concerned about structural safety, long-term stability, and declining property value, they began searching for a permanent foundation repair solution rather than temporary patchwork fixes.
Previous Repair Recommendations Failed to Address the Real Problem
Before contacting Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair, the homeowners explored several repair options from contractors offering cosmetic crack sealing, grout filling, and partial slab replacement recommendations. However, none of these solutions properly addressed the underlying soil instability beneath the home.
After researching foundation repair near me and reviewing local contractor experience throughout Southern California, the homeowners chose Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a full structural evaluation and permanent repair plan.
Comprehensive Foundation Inspection Revealed Soil Washout Beneath the Slab
During the inspection process, the foundation repair specialists at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair performed laser-level mapping and soil analysis to identify the source of the settlement.
The inspection revealed that expansive clay soils beneath the slab had been severely compromised after the plumbing leak washed away supporting material beneath the affected areas. As the soils weakened and voids developed beneath the slab, the rear portion of the home gradually lost support and settled unevenly.
To permanently stabilize the structure, the team designed a custom push pier underpinning system engineered to bypass the unstable upper soils and transfer the structural load onto deeper, stable load-bearing strata.
Push Pier Installation & Structural Slab Reconstruction
The repair strategy involved installing eight heavy-duty galvanized steel push piers beneath the affected foundation areas. Each pier included protective sleeving for increased torsional strength and long-term durability in the desert soil conditions common throughout the Twentynine Palms region.
The steel push piers were hydraulically driven more than 45 feet beneath the home until they reached stable supporting soils capable of permanently supporting the structure.
To reinforce the repair system, the crew also constructed a new reinforced concrete grade beam measuring approximately 12 inches by 18 inches. Dual #4 reinforcing steel bars were installed throughout the beam to tie the push pier system into the original footing and create a stronger, more stable structural connection.
Over the course of five carefully coordinated workdays, the team gradually lifted the settled portions of the slab foundation in controlled increments to reduce structural stress during the stabilization process. Hidden void spaces beneath the slab were then filled using structural slurry injection to improve support conditions beneath the home.
Finally, a new 5-inch concrete slab was installed and integrated into the reinforced grade beam system, restoring a solid and continuous foundation surface ready for interior restoration and flooring installation.
The Results
After the repairs were completed, the floors were restored to within approximately one-eighth of an inch of their intended elevation. Structural cracks stabilized, doors operated normally again, and the home regained proper alignment throughout the affected areas.
The homeowners were relieved to have a permanent foundation stabilization solution backed by a 25-year transferable warranty. In addition to restoring structural integrity, the repairs helped recover the home’s market value and provided long-term protection against future settlement.
By combining deep push pier underpinning, reinforced concrete grade beams, and structural slab restoration, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully transformed a severely settled home into a stable and secure structure designed for long-term performance in Southern California desert soil conditions.
A rustic cabin in Sugarloaf, California, had long been a peaceful retreat until the owner noticed widening perimeter cracks and a corner of the foundation that had started to dip after utility work disturbed the surrounding soil. Floors felt slightly lopsided, doors required an extra tug to close, and the faint groan of shifting lumber hinted that the problem was growing. Beyond cosmetic worries, the homeowner feared declining property value and the possibility that a once-charming getaway could become unsafe.
Searching for answers, the homeowner tried patching the visible cracks and even consulted local handymen. Each quick fix faded as the underlying settlement continued. The realization set in: foundation movement demands specialized equipment, engineering insight, and materials designed for structural loads—solutions ordinary contractors simply do not offer.
Saber Foundation Repair entered the picture after the homeowner read consistent five-star reviews praising its thorough inspections and transparent recommendations. A complimentary evaluation uncovered the true extent of settlement, confirmed that one corner had dropped unevenly, and identified a porch slab that was beginning to tilt. Saber’s inspector explained every finding, outlined possible failure modes, and provided a clear price before any commitment was requested, reinforcing the company’s reputation for honesty.
The repair plan combined two proven systems. First, the crew installed four steel push piers, a three-foot supplemental beam, and two interior wall straps to halt downward movement and gently lift the corner back toward its original elevation. Each pier was driven to load-bearing strata so the cabin now rests on stable, uncompromised soils. Second, the team used PolyLevel®, an expanding polyurethane foam, to raise and re-level the porch slab affected by the same settlement. The PolyLevel process—drilling neat ⅝-inch holes, installing ports, injecting high-density foam, and sealing the openings—took only a morning. Because the foam is environmentally safe, waterproof, and exceptionally light, it lifted the concrete without adding weight or allowing future wash-out, outperforming traditional mud jacking.
Once the work was complete, cracks stopped widening, floors became level, and the doors swung true again. The porch slab, once a treacherous trip hazard, now greets visitors on a perfectly even plane. Most important, the homeowner regained peace of mind, knowing the cabin is structurally sound and that the remedy—backed by Saber’s warranty—will outlast fleeting cosmetic patches.
Early action made all the difference. Foundations rarely “heal” on their own; they deteriorate quietly until repairs grow more invasive and expensive. By choosing Saber Foundation Repair, the homeowner secured an expert team that delivered data-driven diagnostics, minimized disruption, and provided technology that marries modern materials with time-tested engineering principles. Today, the cabin stands firm, its value preserved and its longevity assured, joining countless other Sugarloaf homes protected by Saber’s commitment to lasting solutions.
A quiet cabin tucked among Sugarloaf’s tall pines had begun to feel less like a haven and more like a hazard. The homeowner noticed doors sticking, a gentle slope underfoot, and hairline cracks creeping along the interior walls—unmistakable signs that the crawl space foundation beneath the home was losing its grip. Concern mounted: if these symptoms kept spreading, the cabin’s value and safety could slip away with them.
Conventional quick fixes—shimming joists, adding makeshift posts—proved temporary. Each attempt offered momentary relief before the floors drooped again. Online searches for crawl space repair near me revealed plenty of contractors, yet few inspired confidence that they could deliver a solution built to last. Foundation issues, the homeowner realized, demand specialized design, robust materials, and a team that stands behind its work long after the job is done.
That search led straight to Saber Foundation Repair. Favorable reviews highlighted transparent inspections and dependable follow-through, while the offer of a complimentary evaluation promised clarity. During the on-site assessment, Saber’s specialist mapped the subfloor elevations and pinpointed the heart of the problem: overstressed wooden beams in the crawlspace at home had begun to sag, and several original support posts had settled unevenly in Sugarloaf’s rocky soil. The remedy would need strength, adjustability, and corrosion resistance to keep working through the region’s seasonal moisture swings.
Saber recommended the Supportworks SmartJack® system—an engineered assembly of galvanized steel crawl space jacks designed specifically for crawlspace repair. Rated for an allowable capacity of 30 kips and laboratory-tested to much higher ultimate strengths, each SmartJack® would rest on a compacted crushed-stone footing that distributes load and helps the soil maintain bearing power. Unlike ordinary steel columns, SmartJack® components arrive with a triple-layer zinc coating and a threaded adjustment rod; they resist rust and allow future fine-tuning should the home settle further.
Installation proceeded smoothly. After carefully removing loose debris and preparing a stable stone base, Saber’s crew shifted an existing column to the precise point where deflection readings were highest, then added new SmartJacks® beneath the main girder line. By turning the heavy-duty adjustment nut, they lifted the sagging floor joists until interior benchmarks read nearly level—0, 0, and a negligible –0.2 inches—well within the range of maximum practical recovery for a wood-framed structure. The work wrapped up the same afternoon, leaving no mess and requiring only a brief shut-in, so the homeowner could resume daily life without disruption.
The transformation was immediate. Inside, doors glided shut, and once-wavering countertops sat steady. More importantly, peace of mind returned: the crawl space foundation now relies on a support system engineered to handle Sugarloaf’s load demands and protect against moisture-driven rot. Because SmartJacks® are fully adjustable, any future settlement can be corrected quickly—no invasive demolition needed.
Stories like this demonstrate why acting early matters. Foundation and crawl space issues rarely solve themselves; they compound, inviting larger cracks, worsening slopes, and costly structural failures. Saber Foundation Repair earns trust by pairing thorough diagnostics with proven technology and by educating homeowners about what different repair paths really mean for the life of their property. When people search online for crawl space repairs near me or crawl space repair, they deserve a partner that will still be available years down the road to keep their home healthy.

A mountainside home in Mt Baldy began developing serious signs of foundation settlement that could no longer be ignored. What started as small wall cracks and minor floor unevenness gradually became more severe over time. The homeowners noticed sloping floors, sticking doors, and visible cracking throughout the structure — all common warning signs of foundation movement caused by unstable soil conditions.
The living room floor had noticeably dipped toward one corner of the home, and the front door became increasingly difficult to open and close. The homeowners grew concerned about the safety of the structure, potential property value loss, and the possibility of much larger construction repairs if the settlement continued.
After attempting temporary do-it-yourself fixes that failed to stop the cracking, the homeowners searched online for trusted foundation repair experts in Southern California. Their search for foundation repair near me led them to Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair, a company known for residential foundation stabilization and structural repair solutions throughout the region.
Foundation Inspection Identified Soil Washout Beneath the Home
The team at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair performed a detailed foundation inspection to determine the source of the structural movement. During the evaluation, technicians discovered that heavy winter rainstorms had washed away supporting soil beneath portions of the home’s footing.
As the soil eroded and weakened, sections of the foundation lost support and began settling unevenly into the voided areas below. This differential settlement caused stress throughout the structure, leading to wall cracks, sticking doors, uneven flooring, and visible structural movement.
To permanently stabilize the home, the team recommended installing a push pier foundation repair system designed to transfer the structural load onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil beneath the weak upper layers.
Push Pier Foundation Stabilization & House Lifting
The repair process was designed to be minimally invasive while providing long-term structural stabilization for the home.
The crew excavated small sections near the settling footing areas and attached heavy-duty steel push pier brackets directly to the foundation. Steel push piers were then hydraulically driven deep beneath the home until they reached stable supporting soils capable of properly supporting the structure.
Once the push piers achieved the required depth and capacity, the crew carefully pressurized the system to lift the settled portions of the house back toward a more consistent elevation. This process helped restore level flooring, improve door operation, and reduce structural stress throughout the home.
The entire foundation stabilization project was completed in only two days with minimal disruption to the property. The push pier system also included a 25-year warranty, providing long-term protection and peace of mind for the homeowners.
The Results
Immediately following the repairs, the homeowners noticed a dramatic improvement throughout the home. The floors felt level again, doors and windows operated properly, and the foundation cracks stopped worsening.

The true problem involved unstable supporting soils beneath the slab foundation that had allowed portions of the structure to settle unevenly over time.
Foundation Inspection Revealed Soil Shrinkage Beneath the Slab
The homeowners contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a comprehensive foundation inspection to identify the source of the settlement.
During the evaluation, the foundation repair specialists used elevation measurements and structural analysis tools to determine where the foundation had lost support. The inspection revealed that shrinking and shifting soil conditions beneath the slab had created unsupported void areas beneath portions of the home.
As these soils contracted and settled, sections of the slab foundation began hanging without proper support, causing cracks, uneven floors, and structural movement throughout the home. To permanently stabilize the structure, the team recommended a combination of push piers and slab piers engineered specifically for settling slab foundations in Southern California desert environments.
Push Pier & Slab Pier Foundation Repair
To stabilize the perimeter footing, the crew excavated small access areas beside the settling foundation sections and installed heavy-duty steel push piers beneath the home. These push piers were hydraulically advanced deep into stable load-bearing soil beneath the weak upper soil layers responsible for the settlement.
To address the interior slab settlement, specialized slab piers equipped with helical-style bearing plates were installed beneath the cracked concrete floor areas. These slab piers were designed to grip stable supporting soils beneath the slab and restore structural support to the affected sections of the home.
Once the pier systems reached proper depth and capacity, the crew carefully transferred the structural load of the home onto the newly installed foundation supports. This controlled lifting process helped raise the settled floor areas back toward their original elevation while reducing stress throughout the structure.
After stabilization was completed, the crew restored the work areas, replaced damaged flooring sections, and thoroughly cleaned the property. The entire repair project was completed in approximately three days with minimal disruption to the homeowners.
The Results
Immediately following the repairs, the homeowners noticed significant improvements throughout the home. Floors felt level again, interior doors operated smoothly, and the foundation cracks stopped worsening. A follow-up inspection confirmed that the home was now securely supported by the newly installed pier system.

Foundation Cracks and Uneven Floors Revealed Serious Settlement Issues
A ranch-style home in Lucerne Valley began showing increasingly severe signs of foundation settlement as shifting desert soils beneath the structure caused portions of the slab foundation to sink unevenly.
What initially appeared to be minor cosmetic damage gradually worsened over time. Vertical foundation cracks expanded month after month, interior doors began dragging against their frames, and sections of the floor slab became noticeably uneven. One corner of the home had settled significantly lower than the opposite side, creating concerns about structural safety, long-term stability, and declining property value.
The homeowner attempted several temporary patch repairs and researched foundation repair methods online, but it quickly became clear that cosmetic fixes would not solve the underlying structural problem. Concerned about worsening settlement and future repair costs, the homeowner searched for trusted foundation repair contractors in Southern California and contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection.
Comprehensive Foundation Inspection Identified Soil Movement Beneath the Slab
During the structural evaluation, the foundation repair specialists at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair confirmed that the home had experienced differential settlement caused by unstable desert soil conditions beneath the foundation.
The inspection revealed that shifting and weakening soils had reduced support beneath portions of the slab and footing system, allowing the structure to settle unevenly over time. The team explained that temporary crack repairs and basic construction patching would continue to fail unless the foundation itself was permanently stabilized using deep structural support systems.
To properly address the settlement, the team recommended a combination of galvanized steel push piers and interior slab piers engineered to transfer the structural load of the home onto deeper, stable load-bearing soils beneath the weak upper layers.
Push Pier & Slab Pier Foundation Stabilization
The repair process began with carefully excavated access points beside the affected footing areas. Heavy-duty galvanized steel push piers were then attached to the foundation and hydraulically advanced deep beneath the structure until stable supporting soils were reached.
The push pier system utilized reinforced external sleeve technology designed to improve strength and long-term performance at critical structural connection points beneath the footing.
To stabilize interior portions of the settling slab foundation, the crew also installed slab piers through strategically drilled core openings within the concrete floor. These slab piers extended deep into competent soil conditions before being grouted and concealed beneath the slab surface.
Throughout the project, the crew minimized disruption to the property by maintaining clean work areas and preserving surrounding landscaping whenever possible. After the pier systems achieved proper depth and load-bearing capacity, synchronized lifting equipment was used to carefully raise the settled portions of the home back toward a more level elevation.
The Results
Within just a few days, the foundation stabilization system successfully restored support beneath the home and significantly improved structural alignment throughout the property. Interior doors once again operated correctly, measurable crack closure occurred, and the floors regained a more consistent elevation.
