Wall Support and Trip Hazard Removal for Church in Los Angeles

Solution

To address the trip hazards, Saber utilized a concrete grinder to
repair the uneven joints. The crew then used 48 linear feet of
Nexus Pro® joint sealant to prevent water runoff from seeping into
the joints and causing future damage.
The crew drilled 5/16 inch holes for the required injection ports.
Then approximately 36 pounds of PL400H PolyLevel® two-part
high-density (4lb) hydro-insensitive polyurethane foam system was
pumped beneath the concrete slab to fill voids, stabilize and lift the
slab. The slab was lifted in a gradual and controlled manner.
To secure a tipping 12x5 foot wall, Saber cored a hole into a support
wall at the front of the structure, and then installed two HA 150
galvanized helical anchors with a hydraulic-powered rotary-torque
drive unit. Tie-backs were used to provide lateral stabilization.
