Driveway Tinted to Match Home in Huntington Beach

A homeowner in Huntington Beach needed to improve the appearance of her driveway after her concrete overlay started chipping off. A few years ago, the homeowner had paid a contractor to put a decorative overlay over the concrete slab of her driveway. She was happy with the look until it started cracking and chipping away.

Not only did the chipping concrete overlay impact her home's curb appeal, but removing it left the home in need of something more for the driveway.

Solution

The homeowner called Saber Foundation Repair to evaluate the concrete and recommend a repair that included something to fix the appearance of the driveway. Saber recommended a tinted sealer, called DecoShield, for the fix.

DecoShield protects the slab by sealing the surface of the concrete, preventing its pores from absorbing moisture. It also tints the concrete, minimizing stains and mismatched slabs. With so many color options, the Huntington Beach homeowner was able to choose one that compliments the look of her home.

She chose the Caramel tint color, one of the more popular DecoShield choices. Saber crews installed the tint on her driveway, achieving the perfect color after just four coats.
