A man recently purchased a Santa Ana, Ca. home with plans to renovate, 'flip', and sell the home. Upon further inspection at the time of purchase, it was found that the home and the neighboring tennis court on the property had experienced severe settlement and sinking. The homeowner was unaware of exactly what problems had caused the cracks in the interior and exterior walls and stucco of the home since it was built in 1989. The tennis court was found to have sinking slabs, creating poor drainage and trip hazards for anyone looking to buy the home and enjoy the sport. Upon calling Saber for an inspection and estimate for repairs, the homeowner stressed that he wanted to boost the resale value of the home once all renovations and improvements were made. During their inspection, Saber found that one area of the home itself had settled. It was determined that 12 288 push piers around the compromised area of foundation would prevent further sinking and lift the home to maximum practical recovery. PolyLevel expanding foam beneath the slab for soil stabilization would also aid in the prevention of further sinking. Each PolyLevel port was spaced 4' apart on the floor of the home and the piers were placed at the base of the foundation's footing, around the perimeter of the sinking area of the home's foundation. PolyLevel was also installed underneath areas of the tennis court through dime-sized ports that were later sealed. The production crew was able to level the court slabs, eliminating trip hazards and areas where water pooled after rain.   With the leveled tennis court and stabilized area of the home's foundation, the property's chances of being resold with increased value were improved. The homeowner was confident that he could move forward with the home's other renovations and repairs, now that the foundation of the home was secured.

The attached picture shows a installed Push Pier. This lifted and strengthened the foundation of Angela's home. Angela was happy and satisfied with the results.

Potential homebuyer Steve M. asked Saber to evaluate a Santa Ana home that he was looking to purchase. Project Design Specialist Ken F. did a thorough assessment of the property and discovered various degrees of settlement sinkage, with one area being over 3" lower. Ken recommended as a permanent solution: the installation of push piers to stabilize the foundation and prevent further settlement. No one wants to live on a sinking foundation! Santa Ana homeowner James L. was seeking Saber's services for earthquake retrofitting after some recent southern California earthquake activity. Project Design Specialist Ron C. worked up a custom solution utilizing Seismic Framing Angles and Universal Foundation Plates. These will secure the home to the foundation around the perimeter of the crawlspace. After Ron's appointment, James wrote, "I hope the work is as good as the design specialist." When the project was completed by Eric A. and his crew, James said that they exceeded his expectations. He writes of Eric, "He was very thorough and explained things clearly." Bell Gardens resident Linda G. contacted Saber regarding a crack in the concrete slab under her home. Linda mentioned that the crack was running through the middle of her home, and she thought it was a tree root issue. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Free Homeowner Inspection. Shifting Soils forming Voids is the issue. Areas of the Foundation and driveway were sinking into these voids. Saber recommended that we install Foundation Piers to lift the sinking areas of the Foundation. We also recommended that the voids be filled with Polyurethane We provided the inspection report and the quote to Linda.

Bellflower resident Bonnie M. contacted Saber regarding sagging floors in their home. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Free Homeowner inspection. The Crawlspace had several Support Posts that were becoming detached from the floor joists they had been supporting. Saber recommended attaching new crossbeams to the existing floor joists. We also recommended installing Smart Jacks with new concrete pads. We gave this report and the quote to Bonnie.

Silverado resident Art N. contacted Saber because his concrete steps were cracking and seperating from the wall they were attached to. Our Project Design specialist performed a complete inspection of Art's home. Our Crew used Saber's PolyLevel Injection Process, to raise the steps to their original height, so that they could be reattached to the wall. Art was satisfied with the completed job and the clean up.

La Canada / Flintridge resident Tim M contacted Saber with concerns about cracks in the outside stucco walls of his home. Our project design specialist provided Tim with a full evaluation. Our crew was able to stabilize Tim's foundation using push piers and brackets. Tim was satisfied with the result and clean up.
