Seismic Retrofitting a Older Home in San Bernardino
San Bernardino resident Jorge G. contacted Saber regarding earthquake preparedness on his older home. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection on Jorge's home. The attached picture is the Crawlspace before the Seizmic Retrofitting Components were installed.
Saber's crew attached Universal Foundation Plates, A35 Framing Angles, and Post Caps. These components combined to greatly strengthen Jorge's Home to it's Foundation.
Saber Fixes Sagging Floors in San Bernardino
San Bernardino resident Eileen S. contacted Saber regarding sagging floors in her home. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Free Homeowner Inspection. We discovered that the Wood Support Posts in Eileen's home were sliding off of their concrete bases, due to age, and years of earthquakes in Southern California.
Saber's crew reinforeced the Wood Floor Joists, with Steel I beams. Them we installed All Metal Smart Jacks with Gravel Bases. The Smart Jacks were then Pressurized, which lifted Eileen's floor back to a consistent elevation.
Eileen is pleased with the results, and happy with the clean up, when our crew finished the job.
Push Piers in Irvine
Homeowners in Irvine, California, had notice several areas in and around their home that had caused them concern. There were cracks forming in the interior and exterior walls of the home, and doors and windows were becoming harder to open and close. Saber was contracted to repair the issues, and the work began on the home. The crew began by excavating hole around the property to expose the foundation footings, to place the piers in the correct locations around the home for maximum practical recovery. Saber installed eight push piers at the designated pier locations. The crew then drove the piers to solid bed rock beneath the foundation, for this home the crew had to go extra depth, more so then was proposed to hit that solid ground. The homeowners were kept informed of any issues or changes that needed to be made during the process. Once the piers had been installed and the lift preformed the crew then injected PolyLEVEL™ to fill any voids and further stabilize the home. The holes were then backfilled at each pier location. The homeowners no longer see the effect os the settlement, the cracks in the walls have been closed and the doors and windows are no longer hard to open and close.
Push Piers in Irvine,CA
Saber was contracted to fix the foundation of a home in San Juan Capistrano, California. The homeowners had noticed signs of settlement throughout the home, from sticking doors and windows to cracks that had formed in the interior and exterior of the home. The homeowners knew the issues would most likely continue to get worse, so they went on a search for the best solutions to fix their home. They did a lot of research on line and found that the best option for them was Saber Geotechnical Construction Solutions, after reading reviews and contacting the Saber office they knew this is the company they wanted to repair their home. After the homeowners found Saber they called to set up a property evaluation, the Design Specialist from Saber came to the home and completed a report showing how the problem would be resolved. once the homeowners signed the proposal the job could be scheduled, the Saber production crew was scheduled to repair the homes foundation. The crew arrived and began work right away. They began by excavating holes in nine locations in which the push piers would be installed. Once the excavation was complete the push piers were driven into the ground at the foundations footings until it hit bedrock beneath the foundation. The push piers were then bracketed and the job was soon complete, the crew then added PolyLEVEL™ beneath the foundation to fill any voids and add more stabilization to the home and prevent future settlement. The crews filled the holes and cleaned up the work areas. The homeowners now have piece of mind knowing that their largest investment is once again stabilized and the signs of settlement are no longer evident.
Helical Piers in Irvine
Irvine resident Martha H. contacted Saber regarding her fifty year old home. The inside and outside walls were starting to crack. The doors and windows were also starting to jam. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection of Martha's home. The soils had moved under the home's foundation. This had created voids, which in turn was making areas of the foundation sink, and crack.
Saber's crew excavated holes next to the home's foundation. We then attached and pressurized Helical Piers to the base of the foundation. This lifted and strengthened the home's foundation. The attached picture shows a installed Helical Pier.
Martha was pleased that the cracks had stopped growing, and that her home's foundation was strengthened.
Strengthening a Home Foundation in Irvine
Irvine resident Teddie M. contacted Saber regarding cracks in the walls of her home. The home was built in 1979, and the cracks were spreading. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection of Teddie's home. The Foundation was sinking. Soil movement had created voids and weakened the Foundation. This was causing cracks to spread throughout the walls of Teddie's home.
Our crew excavated holes and trenches next to Teddie's home. Steel I Beams were installed under the Foundation. Then Push Piers were installed to lift the Foundation to a consistant elevation. The attached picture shows Push Piers that have been installed to lift part of the Foundation. Prior to the Job starting, Saber got all needed permits and soils reports.
Teddie was happy that the cracks had stopped spreading, and that the Foundation was greatly strengthened.
FOUNDATION STABILIZATION IN IRVINE
Irvine homeowner Judy M. had a corner of her home sloping downward which is a sign of foundation settlement. Project Design Specialist Paul D. recommended the installation of four push piers to permanently stabilize the corner. Foreman Chris R. and his crew worked on the project. Judy writes, "The service technician was very polite, knowledgeable, and told us what each step was going to be. He sent me a video to watch so we could understand the process better." They were very happy with the result. As far as the cleanup, Judy writes, " We were not surprised the areas were cleaned so well, everything to that point had been great, so we didn't expect anything less. Inspecting a Home in Pinon Hills
Real Estate Investor Kyle Z. contacted Saber regarding a Pinon Hills home. Some of the tiles were cracked in the home. Kyle wanted to make sure that this wasn't a sign of Foundation Problems. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a full three hour inspection of this home.
There were no foundation issues. Kyle had Peace of Mind, that the home has a solid, and safe Foundation.
PolyLevel (R) in Phelan
Phelan resident Andrew C. contacted Saber regarding uneven slabs, creating trip hazards on their walkway. Our Project Design Specialist performed a complete home inspection.
Our crew used Saber's State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process to raise and level the sinking concrete slabs.
Andrew was happy with the result and clean up.

Phelan resident Dave P. contacted Saber about his sinking garage floor in a metal building. Saber's Project design Specialist performed a thorough inspection on the area. The foundation had weakened from a void that formed under the slab.
Our crew filled the void using Saber's Polylevel Injection. We then installed Push Piers to Stengthen the garage floor. Dave was happy with the result and the clean up.
