Seismic Strengthening for Home in Signal Hill, CA
Merlin discovered Saber Foundation Repair at a home improvement show in Orange County. Having experienced several earthquakes in Southern California that year, he was keen on evaluating and protecting his home against future seismic events. Merlin met with our Design specialist who fully evaluated Merlin's home  foundation and proposed our Seismic Design Build Package.   Our Foreman, Sammy M., led the crew to secure Merlin's home using the latest retrofitting techniques. The process involved installing engineered metal connectors and reinforcement materials, such as hold downs, anchors, strap ties, and framing angles, at critical stress points. This comprehensive approach transformed Merlin's home into a unified, resilient structure capable of withstanding significant seismic forces.   Merlin was delighted with the results and expressed his peace of mind knowing his home was now better protected against earthquakes.
PolyLEVELâ„¢ Stabilization and Crack Repair in Loma Linda, CA
Homeowners in Loma Linda, California, had noticed a large crack in the slab of their foundation.  After doing some research about the methods to fix the damage caused by the soil settlement below the slab, they knew that they wanted to use a company that would inject foam under the slab.  The other options were thought to be too time consuming and expensive.  The homeowner knew they wanted something that was light weight with a quick finish time and something that would not break the budget.  The homeowners enlisted the help of Saber to repair the crack in the slab and to lift and stabilize the foundation of the home.  The crew from Saber arrived promptly at the scheduled date and time and the work was completed much to the homeowners satisfaction.  The crew injected PolyLEVEL™ beneath the foundation to stabilize the home and to perform a lift, once the lift was complete and the PolyLEVEL™ was cured, the crew then repaired the crack that had formed in the foundation using an epoxy injection.  The homeowners were very pleased with the work competed by Saber and are happy to know that their home is now stabilized and the signs of settlement are no longer an issue.
Trip Hazard Repair Along Pool Deck at Huntington Beach Home
Chris from Huntington Beach, CA watched as his pool deck slowly separated due to poor compaction of the sub-base soils and erosion from water migration under the pool deck slab.   This trip and fall hazard caused by the settlement and misalignment of concrete panels of the deck concerned Chris as he loved entertaining guests out by the pool. Saber solved his problem by injecting 357 units of PolyLEVEL below the affected area to not only raise the sunken slab but to also fill any voids in close vicinity. This would also help in stopping water erosion and migration as well as stopping future settlement of other areas of the pool deck.
Concrete Encased Piers to Lift Home in Huntington Beach, Ca
A homeowner in Huntington Beach, Ca was seeing symptoms of settling in the home he had lived in since 1987. The home, built in 1976, was experiencing drywall and stucco cracks both inside and outside the home. The homeowner and his wife wanted to build an addition to the home, but needed to level or lift the home's foundation before they could move forward. Saber's project design specialist used zipline and other readings to determined how far their foundation had settled. Saber found that the couple's home had been experiencing general foundation distress and the present soil conditions promoted settlement that was likely to continue over time. The homeowner and his wife wanted to remedy the issue with their home as soon as possible, so Saber's production team started soon. They were to install 10 288 Low Profile Push Piers in designated areas around the home to level and attemp to lift the home. Each pier was encased in concrete by a third party, not jeopardizing any warranties on the piers themselves. At the beginning of the job, landscaping had to be removed from each of the pier locations. Soil was then excavated at each pier location at the bottom of the foundation footing. Along with the installed push piers, 42 units of PolyLevel void filling was installed beneath the footing. Polylevel void fill (210 units) was also inserted beneath the slab foundation to further reinforce the home and stabilize the soil.  Beneath the home's sliding glass door to their patio a pier couldn't be placed, so a steel beam was installed beneach the jamb, so that there woul dbe no damage to the footing. Once the project was complete, the foreman walked the entire jobsite with the homeowner, asking if he or his wife had any questions. They did not and were happy with the final result of closed drywall cracks and a level home.

Seismic Retrofit in Long Beach
Customer Mari D, of Long Beach, California, had been considering reinforcing her property, and with the string of recent earthquakes in and around the Los Angeles area, she found that now was a better time then any.  So, Mari did her research and found that Saber was the best company to come evaluate her property.  Upon the inspection, the Sales representative from Saber proposed to install  Simpson UFP 10 brackets at every corner of the foundation and every 6' from the center, as well as strapping each 4x4 post to each existing wood grinder beam, using Simpson T-straps and Simpson framing clips.  There was also a crack in the slab that was a concern to Mari, therefore; it was suggested that the crack be routed, cleaned and repaired using a two component epoxy injection method. Mari found that this was the best option for her, so she scheduled to have a crew from Saber repair the crack in her slab and retro fit her property.  The crew was able to complete the project in the first day.  They began by going into the crawlspace where the work would be preformed, and installed and secured the T-straps, they then installed and secured the sill plates and repaired the crack with epoxy.   Mari was very pleased with the work completed. It is safe to say, she now has piece of mind knowing that in the occurrence of the next earthquake in her area, her home has been safely secured.
