Flagpole at Point Magu NAWC

Challenge

Anchoring a flagpole for a Naval Facility. Flagpoles are dangerous if not anchored into the earth securely.

Solution

Driving a Helical Pier into the ground", and torquing it tight. Attaching a 8" x 8" steel plate to the top of the Pier. Then turning the job back over to the contractor to pour the concrete base.

This Helical Pier has been driven approximately 8 feet into the ground.
