A homeowner in El Segundo became concerned after noticing a section of the garage slab had sunk approximately three inches. Uneven and settling concrete slabs are common warning signs of unstable soil conditions beneath the structure and can eventually lead to structural damage, trip hazards, water intrusion, and additional foundation problems if left untreated. Seeking a permanent repair solution, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional garage foundation inspection and structural evaluation. During the inspection, Saber’s foundation repair specialists carefully assessed the settlement affecting the garage slab and surrounding foundation areas. The evaluation confirmed that unstable supporting soils beneath the garage had allowed portions of the slab to settle unevenly over time. To permanently stabilize and lift the affected concrete, the team recommended a customized repair plan utilizing heavy-duty steel helical piers combined with PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection technology. Helical piers were selected to provide deep foundational support beneath the settling garage slab. These engineered steel piers are mechanically advanced into stable load-bearing soil beneath the weaker upper soil layers responsible for the settlement. Once installed, the helical pier system helps permanently stabilize and support the affected structure while reducing the risk of continued movement. To further restore the slab and improve overall stability, PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection was used beneath the concrete surfaces. The lightweight expanding foam filled underlying voids beneath the slab while carefully lifting and leveling the settled concrete back toward its original elevation.   By combining helical pier foundation stabilization with PolyLevel® concrete lifting technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully restored stability to this El Segundo garage while helping protect the property from future settlement and concrete movement issues common throughout Southern California.

Redondo Beach resident Mardi R. contacted Saber. She said , "We were sitting in the living room one evening. We heard loud popping and cracking sounds. We discovered that the floor tiles had buckled. We pulled off the tiles and found that the slab had a crack in it." Our Project Design Specialist inspected the crack in the concrete slab, and then performed a full evaluation of Mardi's home. There was a void under the slab, which in turn had weakened the foundation. Our crew used Saber's State-Of-The-Art Polylevel process to fill the void. We then attached Push Piers to strengthen the foundation of this home. Mardi approved of the work and was happy with the clean up.

Redondo Beach resident Hank O. contacted Saber regarding cleaning up and waterproofing the Crawlspace under his Home. His floors in his home were cold. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Thorough Home inspection. The Crawlspace was damp and cold. Saber's Crew installed Clean Space Sheeting. See the attached picture. We also installed a dehumidifier, and a Sump Pump. These upgrades have helped will keep the Moisture out, and provide extra storage space for Hank.

A homeowner in San Juan Capistrano had developed some tilted and shifted concrete slabs due to the settling and expansion of the soil and clay that is commonly found in Southern California. The homeowner first thought that the solution would be to demo and re-pour or grind edges which is both expensive and grinding a bit unsightly when the aggregate is exposed.  So after doing some research the homeowner found Saber and the PolyLEVEL™ method, and thought that this was the solution he had been looking for.  He contacted Saber and project specialist was schedule to meet the homeowner at the property to do an evaluation.  The project specialist proper to use the PolyLEVEL™ system to raise the concrete and fix the homeowners problems with the tilted and shifted slabs.  The Saber crew gave an estimate to bring everything level without demolition, and the Saber crew arrived promptly to complete the job. Saber was contracted to fix the foundation of a home in San Juan Capistrano, California.  The homeowners had noticed signs of settlement throughout the home, from sticking doors and windows to cracks that had formed in the interior and exterior of the home. The homeowners knew the issues would most likely continue to get worse, so they went on a search for the best solutions to fix their home.  They did a lot of research on line and found that the best option for them was Saber Geotechnical Construction Solutions, after reading reviews and contacting the Saber office they knew this is the company they wanted to repair their home.  After the homeowners found Saber they called to set up a property evaluation, the Design Specialist from Saber came to the home and completed a report showing how the problem would be resolved.  once the homeowners signed the proposal the job could be scheduled, the Saber production crew was scheduled to repair the homes foundation.  The crew arrived and began work right away.  They began by excavating hole in five locations in which the helical piers would be placed.  Once the excavation was complete the helical piers were driven into the ground at the foundations footings until it hit bedrock beneath the foundation.  The helical piers were then bracketed and the job was soon complete.  The crews filled the holes and cleaned up the work areas.  The homeowners now have piece of mind knowing that their largest investment is once again stabilized and the signs of settlement are no longer evident. 

A home in San Juan Capistrano, Ca. previously had foundation work done years prior the current family contacted Saber. Over time, the homeowners had noticed that a few of their doors didn't shut completely square within their frames. There were also many cracks along the interior walls of their home. Their fireplace had begun to separate from their home's walls on the interior of the home, while the chimney was gradually pulling away from the outside wall. Upon calling Saber and having a free inspection of their home, it was determined that the home needed many stabilizing piers to prevent further settlement of the foundation. At the start of the project, the homeowners walked the whole work area, discussing with the foreman the project ahead. In order to install a few of the piers, the family's 4' concrete walkway needed to be removed. Further into the project, it was found that a previous owner of the home had mud jacking performed under the foundation to support the home. The slurry needed to be removed in order to provide Saber's correct and permanent fix on their home.  Along with the stabilizing piers, steel beams were installed underneath in order to further support the home. After the project was completed, the crew cleaned their job site and replaced the removed concrete walkway over the installed piers. The homeowners walked the final result of their home's foundation project. They were very glad to finally have their home level, the cracks in walls closed, and the doors line up in their frames.

San Juan Capistrano resident Donna contacted Saber regarding cracks that, her and her husband had noticed, next to the fireplace in their home. She stated that they wanted to replace their floor. Our Project Design Specialist performed a Free and complete inspection of Donna's home. The cracking was due to shifting soil that had weakened the Foundation of the home. Our crew cleared dirt from the home's Crawlspace. They also excavated holes in the cement path next to the home. The debris was removed, The crew then attached Push Piers to the base of the home's Foundation. The attached picture shows a Push Pier that will be installed where the Foundation has weakened.Then the holes were filled and new concrete was poured. Donna was happy with the end result, and the crew's clean up.

San Juan Capistrano resident Lawrence contacted Saber about a home he had just purchased. The Foundation issues of the home had been revealed by the seller before Lawrence purchased the home. The windows and doors were sticking and there were cracks in the floors. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a complete inspection of the home. Saber's crew Excavated holes next to the weakened parts of the Foundation. Then we attached Push Piers to lift the areas of the Foundation that were sinking. This made the Foundation Elevation constant.  Lawrence was happy with the finished work. The Foundation of one of his biggest investments was now stronger. San Juan Capistrano resident Jason B. contacted Saber regarding Foundation issues with a home, that he's recently purchased. He wanted to remodel his home, and had found that the foundation was cracked in several areas. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection of Jason's home. These inspections are Free to Homeowners. Voids had formed under the Foundation. These voids were weakening the Foundation and causing areas to sink and crack. Our crew excavated holes next to these areas that were sinking. The crew attached Push Piers to the base of these sinking areas. The attached picture is a installed Push Pier. Then the Piers were pressurized, which Lifted these previously sinking areas back into consistant elevation with the rest of the Foundation. Then Saber used our State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process to fill in the voids, that the shifting soils had created. The Piers strengthened, and the PolyLevel stabilized Jason's Foundation. Jason was happy with the results.
