Foundation Settlement Repair & PolyLevel® Stabilization in Sylmar, CA
A homeowner in Sylmar became concerned after noticing several common warning signs of foundation settlement throughout the home, including slab cracks, wall cracks, and a misaligned door. These symptoms often indicate structural movement caused by unstable supporting soils beneath the foundation and slab system. Seeking a permanent solution, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection and structural evaluation. During the inspection, Saber’s foundation repair specialists performed a detailed analysis of the property to determine the source and extent of the settlement affecting the home. The inspection confirmed that portions of both the slab floor and foundation system were experiencing settlement-related movement due to weakened soil support beneath the structure. As sections of the foundation shifted unevenly, stress transferred throughout the home, resulting in cracking and structural misalignment. To permanently stabilize the home, the team recommended a customized repair plan utilizing heavy-duty steel push piers combined with PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection technology. The push pier system was designed to transfer the structural load of the home onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil beneath the weak upper soil layers responsible for the settlement. Once installed, the push piers help permanently stabilize the foundation while reducing the risk of continued movement and structural damage. To further stabilize the slab floor, PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection was used to fill underlying voids and improve support beneath the concrete. The lightweight expanding foam helps lift and stabilize settled slab areas while restoring support beneath the structure without adding excessive weight to the soil.   By combining push pier foundation stabilization with PolyLevel® slab support technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair provided this Sylmar homeowner with a long-term structural repair solution designed to restore stability, improve safety, and protect the property from future settlement-related damage throughout Southern California soil conditions.
