Drainage Issues in Van Nuys
Van Nuys resident Ruth S. contacted Saber regarding drainage issues that she was having. Her home's Crawlspace was wet due to improper drainage.
Saber's crew installed a drainage system to eliminate this issue. We dug trenches and buried PVC Pipe. We also installed a Catch Basin and a EZ Flo Well.
Now water flows into the Catch Basin, through the PVC Pipe and into the Well. The Crawlspace is dry.
Seismic Retrofitting Home in Van Nuys, CA
Leland lived in her Van Nuys house for 10 years. Built in 1954, the house started showing signs of structural issues a few years back. Concerned for her safety and security, Leland decided it was time to hire an expert. She found Saber Foundation Repair through the Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program and hired us for the job.
Our Foreman, Alex O., and the team implemented our Seismic Design Build Package to secure Leland's home. The retrofitting process involved installing engineered metal connectors and reinforcement materials at key stress points throughout the structure. This included:
Hold downs, anchors, and anchor bolts: To secure the structure to the foundation.
Strap ties and framing angles: To reinforce connections between different parts of the structure.
Wood blocking and structural sheathing: To further strengthen the walls and prevent collapse.
The goal was to counteract three main earthquake-induced forces: racking, sliding, and overturning. In engineering terms, we transformed Leland’s house from a building with loosely connected parts into a unified structure with a "continuous load path" from the foundation to the roof. Our experienced crew utilized a comprehensive set of seismic connectors to ensure the house structure stayed intact despite seismic forces that could easily tear an unreinforced house apart. Leland was highly satisfied with the results.
Mentone Trip Hazard
Mentone resident Jim J. contacted Saber regarding trip hazards on the walkways around the outside of his home. Saber's Project Design Specialist inspected Jim's home. This issue was concrete slabs that were not aligned properly, because voids had formed under them. The sunken slabs needed to be lifted. Saber's State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process is the least invasive, and most cost effective way to solve this issue. Jim received a written copy of Saber's Home Inspection Report.

Foundation Crack Repair & Push Pier Stabilization in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
A homeowner in Rancho Palos Verdes became concerned after noticing cracking walls developing throughout the home — a common warning sign of foundation settlement and structural movement. As the cracking worsened, the homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection and permanent stabilization solution.
During the inspection, Saber’s foundation repair specialists discovered that underlying soil voids had formed beneath portions of the foundation. As these unsupported gaps developed beneath the structure, sections of the foundation began sinking unevenly into the void spaces, transferring structural stress throughout the home and causing the walls to crack.
To permanently stabilize the structure, the crew excavated around the affected foundation areas where settlement had occurred. Portions of excess concrete were carefully removed to allow access for the installation of a heavy-duty push pier underpinning system.
Steel push piers were then attached directly to the settling foundation and hydraulically advanced deep into stable load-bearing soil beneath the weaker upper soil layers responsible for the settlement. Once the piers reached proper depth and capacity, the system was carefully pressurized to lift and stabilize the sinking portions of the home back toward a more consistent elevation.
After the lifting operations were completed, polyurethane foam injection was used to fill the underlying soil voids beneath the foundation. The expanding foam helped restore support beneath the slab while reducing the risk of future settlement caused by unsupported soil conditions.
By combining push pier foundation stabilization with polyurethane void filling technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully restored structural stability to this Rancho Palos Verdes home while helping protect the property from continued settlement and foundation damage common in Southern California hillside communities.
Seismic Strengthening In Rancho Palos Verdes
Rancho Palos Verdes Resident Byron and Elaine W. contacted Saber to secure their home in the case of an earthquake. Design specialist Steven O. recommended a Saber seismic strengthening system to help secure the homes raised foundation.

Cracked Garage Floor in Panorama City
Panorama City resident Limor M. contacted Saber regarding cracking floors in his garage that were becoming trip hazards. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Free Homeowner Inspection. Voids were found under the garage floor, and under the home's foundation. Saber recommended our State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process to stop the cracking in the garage floor. We also recommended attaching Push Piers to the home's foundation, to lift and strengthen it. Limor received Saber's Home Inspection Report and a 30 day quote.
Push Piers in San Fernando
San Fernando resident James S. contacted Saber regarding the cracking floors and walls in his home.
Our Project Design Specialist completed a thorough evaluation of James's home.
Our crew excavated holes and attached Push Piers to the base of the foundation. This lifted the foundation and leveled James home.
James was satisfied with the end results and the crew clean up.
Cracking in Stucco and Drywall
Craig C. of Dana Point, California, noticed cracking in his stucco and drywall. After researching the issue he found Saber, and called for an estimate. Shortly after the call, an appointment was set for a Saber's Sales representative to evaluate the property. The finding was that the home had settlement, the interior evaluations showed a maximum variance of -1.6 inches across the area measured. So the recommendation was made to underpin the area as well as raise the foundation to support it from any future failure.
Saber scheduled a crew to go the home and resolve the issue. The project began by the crew marking out the nine pier locations, once the pier locations were marked the crew began digging to expose the footings of the property. Once the footings were exposed the equipment, for driving pipe, was set up. Once the pipe was driven to the proper depth, the brackets were mounted with hardware.
Once the hardware is installed on all the brackets the property is ready for the lift. The lift was completed and polyurethane was injected for added support. The cracks that had been formed prior to the stabilization, were traced and epoxied. Once the lift was complete the holes were back filled and an inspection of the property was completed.
There is no doubt that now Craig can have piece mind knowing that his property is stable and the value of his property is increased, due to the foundation repair.
