Foundation Settlement Repair & Push Pier Stabilization in Lucerne Valley, CA
Foundation Cracks and Uneven Floors Revealed Serious Settlement Issues
A ranch-style home in Lucerne Valley began showing increasingly severe signs of foundation settlement as shifting desert soils beneath the structure caused portions of the slab foundation to sink unevenly.
What initially appeared to be minor cosmetic damage gradually worsened over time. Vertical foundation cracks expanded month after month, interior doors began dragging against their frames, and sections of the floor slab became noticeably uneven. One corner of the home had settled significantly lower than the opposite side, creating concerns about structural safety, long-term stability, and declining property value.
The homeowner attempted several temporary patch repairs and researched foundation repair methods online, but it quickly became clear that cosmetic fixes would not solve the underlying structural problem. Concerned about worsening settlement and future repair costs, the homeowner searched for trusted foundation repair contractors in Southern California and contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection.
Comprehensive Foundation Inspection Identified Soil Movement Beneath the Slab
During the structural evaluation, the foundation repair specialists at Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair confirmed that the home had experienced differential settlement caused by unstable desert soil conditions beneath the foundation.
The inspection revealed that shifting and weakening soils had reduced support beneath portions of the slab and footing system, allowing the structure to settle unevenly over time. The team explained that temporary crack repairs and basic construction patching would continue to fail unless the foundation itself was permanently stabilized using deep structural support systems.
To properly address the settlement, the team recommended a combination of galvanized steel push piers and interior slab piers engineered to transfer the structural load of the home onto deeper, stable load-bearing soils beneath the weak upper layers.
Push Pier & Slab Pier Foundation Stabilization
The repair process began with carefully excavated access points beside the affected footing areas. Heavy-duty galvanized steel push piers were then attached to the foundation and hydraulically advanced deep beneath the structure until stable supporting soils were reached.
The push pier system utilized reinforced external sleeve technology designed to improve strength and long-term performance at critical structural connection points beneath the footing.
To stabilize interior portions of the settling slab foundation, the crew also installed slab piers through strategically drilled core openings within the concrete floor. These slab piers extended deep into competent soil conditions before being grouted and concealed beneath the slab surface.
Throughout the project, the crew minimized disruption to the property by maintaining clean work areas and preserving surrounding landscaping whenever possible. After the pier systems achieved proper depth and load-bearing capacity, synchronized lifting equipment was used to carefully raise the settled portions of the home back toward a more level elevation.
The Results
Within just a few days, the foundation stabilization system successfully restored support beneath the home and significantly improved structural alignment throughout the property. Interior doors once again operated correctly, measurable crack closure occurred, and the floors regained a more consistent elevation.
Most importantly, the homeowner gained confidence knowing the structure had been permanently stabilized using engineered foundation underpinning systems backed by a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty along with Saber’s own performance guarantee.
By combining deep push pier underpinning with interior slab pier stabilization technology, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair successfully transformed a sinking and cracked home into a structurally stable property designed for long-term performance in challenging Southern California desert soil conditions.

Helical Pier Foundation Repair & Concrete Stabilization in Idyllwild, CA
A campground cabin in Idyllwild began experiencing foundation settlement caused by shifting mountain terrain and unstable soil conditions common throughout Southern California’s higher elevations. The property owner noticed structural movement affecting the cabin and contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection and long-term stabilization solution.
After performing a detailed structural evaluation of the cabin and surrounding soils, Saber’s foundation repair specialists identified active settlement issues affecting the structure. Due to the challenging mountainous terrain in the Idyllwild area, soil movement and settlement are common concerns for cabins and hillside properties.
To permanently stabilize the structure, the team recommended installing helical piers beneath the affected foundation areas. These heavy-duty steel piers were designed to transfer the structural load of the cabin onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil beneath the weaker upper layers responsible for the settlement.
In addition to the foundation stabilization work, PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection was recommended to help lift and stabilize settled concrete surfaces surrounding the property. This minimally invasive concrete leveling solution helped restore support beneath affected slabs while improving long-term stability.
By combining helical pier foundation repair with PolyLevel® concrete stabilization, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair helped protect this Idyllwild campground cabin against future settlement while preserving the structural integrity of the property for years to come.

Push Piers in Oceanside
Homeowners in Oceanside, CA, noticed some signs of settlement throughout their home. They were having issues with the opening and closing of windows and doors, and other signs included the cracking of the slabs and cracks in walls or the interior and exterior of the home. The homeowners knew it was now time to take action, before the issues became much more severe. The homeowners did some research and found Saber to be the best choice. The design specialist from Saber was scheduled to do a property evaluation for the homeowners. The design specialist proposed to the homeowners, to repair the foundation. The proposal was to remove concrete and add push piers at the foundations footings in specific locations around the property, then a lift would be attempted and PolyLEVEL™ would be injected beneath the foundation to further stabilize the property from and future settlement. Once the proposal was approved and signed by the homeowner, the Saber crew was scheduled to complete the project. The Saber crew showed up at the jobsite and began work immediately. Ten areas of concrete was removed so that the soils around the foundation could be excavated. Once the excavation was completed the crew then installed the push piers at each location. The piers were then set up to start the lift of the property once the lift was completed the PolyLEVEL™ was injected beneath the foundation to prevent the property from future soil settlement. Once the void had been filled the crew then filled the holes that had been excavated and the concrete that was removed was replaced with fresh new concrete. The homeowners no longer will see the signs of settlement, the doors and windows that were once hard to open and close will no longer be an issue.
