SmartJack Crawl Space Repair Restores Structural Stability in Forest Falls, CA
Homeowner Concern A homeowner in Forest Falls, California, began noticing signs that their home's floor system wasn't performing as it should. Uneven floors, aging crawl space supports, and the natural settling that often affects mountain homes prompted them to schedule a professional inspection with Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair. Homes in the San Bernardino Mountains face unique structural challenges. Sloped terrain, varying soil conditions, seasonal moisture, and decades of natural settlement can all place additional stress on crawl space framing. Over time, original wood support posts may weaken, shift, or no longer provide the level of support the home requires. Following a detailed inspection, our foundation repair specialist recommended installing a permanent SmartJack® crawl space support system to reinforce the home's floor structure. Inspection Findings Once inside the crawl space, our team found an older support system consisting primarily of wood posts and aging framing members. While these supports had carried the home for many years, several areas showed signs that additional structural reinforcement would improve the home's long-term stability. The crawl space also presented the typical challenges associated with mountain homes, including uneven terrain, large natural rock formations, and limited working space. These conditions required careful planning to ensure each support point would properly transfer structural loads. Rather than relying on temporary shimming or additional wood blocking, the homeowner chose a permanent structural solution engineered specifically for crawl space repair. Our Permanent Repair Solution The project began by preparing multiple locations beneath the home where new supports would be installed. Our crew carefully positioned galvanized steel foundation bases before installing heavy-duty SmartJack support columns beneath the primary floor beams. Each support was precisely aligned and adjusted to provide uniform load distribution throughout the crawl space. The repair included: Installation of galvanized SmartJack support columns Engineered steel support beams where additional reinforcement was needed Precision leveling of support components Permanent stabilization of sagging floor framing Structural load transfer to properly prepared support locations Because SmartJack systems are adjustable, they can be fine-tuned during installation to help restore floor stability while providing a durable, corrosion-resistant support system designed for long-term performance. Working Around a Challenging Crawl Space Every home presents its own set of structural conditions, and this Forest Falls project required our crew to work around numerous natural obstacles. Large boulders, uneven soil elevations, and confined access meant every SmartJack location had to be carefully selected and installed without compromising the existing structural framing. Our experienced technicians navigated the crawl space while ensuring each steel support was positioned to maximize its effectiveness. The result is a much stronger support system that integrates seamlessly beneath the home's existing framing. The Finished Result Following installation, the crawl space featured multiple professionally installed SmartJack support columns working together with engineered steel beams to provide permanent structural reinforcement. Unlike aging wood posts, galvanized steel SmartJack supports resist corrosion and can continue supporting the home's floor system for years to come. The upgraded support system helps reduce floor movement while providing homeowners with greater confidence in the structural integrity of their home. For homes built on raised foundations throughout Southern California, SmartJack systems offer an effective solution for reinforcing weakened floor systems and correcting crawl space support issues before they become more significant. Helical Pier Foundation Repair & Concrete Stabilization in Idyllwild, CA
A campground cabin in Idyllwild began experiencing foundation settlement caused by shifting mountain terrain and unstable soil conditions common throughout Southern California’s higher elevations. The property owner noticed structural movement affecting the cabin and contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair for a professional foundation inspection and long-term stabilization solution. After performing a detailed structural evaluation of the cabin and surrounding soils, Saber’s foundation repair specialists identified active settlement issues affecting the structure. Due to the challenging mountainous terrain in the Idyllwild area, soil movement and settlement are common concerns for cabins and hillside properties. To permanently stabilize the structure, the team recommended installing helical piers beneath the affected foundation areas. These heavy-duty steel piers were designed to transfer the structural load of the cabin onto deeper, stable load-bearing soil beneath the weaker upper layers responsible for the settlement. In addition to the foundation stabilization work, PolyLevel® polyurethane foam injection was recommended to help lift and stabilize settled concrete surfaces surrounding the property. This minimally invasive concrete leveling solution helped restore support beneath affected slabs while improving long-term stability.   By combining helical pier foundation repair with PolyLevel® concrete stabilization, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair helped protect this Idyllwild campground cabin against future settlement while preserving the structural integrity of the property for years to come.

Foundation Needs Help in Anza
Anza resident Eric W. contacted Saber regarding Sagging Floors, and Hard to Open Windows and Doors. Our Project Design Specialist performed a thorough Home Inspection. Voids were discovered under the Foundation, causing it to sink. The components used, to install these Support Posts, weren't California Building Code Approved. See attached Picture. Saber recommended attaching Foundation Piers and Pressurizing them, to Lift the Foundation back to a Consistent Elevation. These Piers Strengthen the Foundation. Then we suggested Filling the Voids with Polyurethane, to Stabilize the Foundation. Last of all we thought that attaching steel I Beams, to the existing Floor Joists, would Stabilize the Floors. We would then install All Metal Smart Jacks and Pressurize them. This would give the Floor Consistent Elevation, and eliminate the sagging. Eric received a copy Of Saber's Free Home Inspection Report.
Fixing a Cracked Concrete Foundation in Apple Valley
Apple Valley resident Jack T. contacted Saber regarding cracking in the concrete slab Foundation of his home. He had previously tried to repair this issue himself, by trying to grind the concrete. This didn't level the Foundation like he hoped. Jack told Saber that he was looking for a permanent solution to this issue. Our Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection, and provided a written evaluation of how to fix this issue. The soils had shifted under the slab. This had created voids. Parts of the slab were sinking, which was causing the cracking. The attached picture shows the home's foundation before we started our work. Saber's Crew drilled holes through the slab and into the voids. Then, using Saber's State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process, we filled the voids with polyurethane. This raised the areas of the slab that had sunk. Now the entire home Foundation had a constant elevation.  Jack was pleased with the results. Saber had solved his problem, and gave him peace of mind.
