Raised Foundation Gets Seismic Retrofit
Are you and your home ready for the next earthquake?  Jerry B from Orange County is.   Living in a home with a raised foundation Jerry knew the importance of having the sill plate bolted to the foundation stemwall.  Many homes in Orange County were built before the practice of foundation bolting was widely used. 160 linear feet of foundation stemwall was bolted by Saber's certified Crawl Space crew utilizing Simpson Strong Tie seismic plates connecting the wood structure of the home to the concrete foundation.  The seismic upgrade took one day to complete with no disturbance to the interior dwelling or utilities.
Push Piers in Orange
A homeowner in Orange, had noticed some foundation settlement issues occurring throughout his property.  He knew something needed to be fixed and the sooner the better.  Cracks were forming in the interior and exterior of the home and the doors and windows were becoming hard to open and close.  The homeowner found Saber and scheduled an appointment.  The Crew from Saber was able to fix the foundation by installing three steel push piers which were driven into the ground until they reached solid bedrock below.  The crew first needed to remove 3 areas of concrete to install the piers, once the piers were installed the crew then injected PolyLEVEL to fill any voids and further stabilize the home from future settlement.  The homeowner now has piece of mind knowing his biggest investment is once again stabilized and secured from future settlement.  The issue of the sticking doors and windows is no longer a problem and the cracks that had formed are now closed.

A homeowner in Yorba Linda was having settlement issues at her property.  She had done extensive research to find the best fix for her.  She found Saber and after ready reviews and testimonials she knew that this was definitely a company she could trust to repair her foundation.  She called to set an appointment with a design specialist, the design specialist came to the property and completed an evaluation.  Because the home was built on a slope the specialist suggested that a crew from Saber come to the property to ins all a test pier to insure the depth that steel pipe would have to be driven into the ground.  The crew was then scheduled to install a test pier to determine the depth.  The pier was installed and it was determined that to properly complete the project the other piers being installed would have to be installed at more of depth then is standard.  The homeowner agreed that for the project to be completed and the foundation repaired to maximum practical recovery that the extra depth was a must.  The crew was then scheduled to compete the project.  The crew installed nine piers around the property as well as helical piers for lateral support.  Once the piers were installed the crew then injected PolyLEVEL to fill any voids and to prevent future soil settlement.   The homeowner was very pleased with the work completed and is happy knowing her investment is know stabilized.

Crack repair, push piers and concrete in Buena Park
A home in Buena Park, California, was suffering from settlement issues.  The home was showing specific signs of settlement: included cracks in the interior and exterior of the home, doors and windows sticking and cracking in the slab of the homes foundation.  This settlement is due to the shifting soils beneath the homes foundation.  The homeowners needed to have these issues fixed, Saber scheduled a project specialist to evaluate the property, the specialist proposed concrete to be removed and piers to be placed around the property to support the foundation using low profile bracket and also to route, clean and repair slab crack using two component epoxy injection method.  The Saber crew was scheduled to complete the project, once they arrived at the property the crew went straight to work.  Five areas of concrete were cut and removed to excavate the soils and expose the foundations footing.  Then 21 push piers were installed around the properties exterior.  The crew did have to drive some of the piers to an extra depth in order to reach the bedrock or solid soils beneath the foundation, to insure the best stabilization and any future settlement.  Once the piers were installed and the lift was complete, the crew then began the clean up of the areas, and backfilled all of the holes.  The concrete that had been cut out were then re-poured.  The crack that had formed in the slab was then routed and cleaned then injected with a two-component epoxy injection method.  The home no longer has settlement issues and the signs that the homeowners once saw are no longer issues.
